Crispy, golden lattice fries topped with ground beef in a tangy ginger-soy sauce, tender edamame and finished with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Make lots, these are going to be popular!
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Thaw ground beef under refrigeration.
Step 2
Brown ground beef over medium heat, breaking meat up as it cooks. Drain excess fat. Add garlic and ginger. Cook, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium-low.
Step 3
To make the slurry; whisk water and cornstarch together in a large deep container such as a quart or gallon measure. Set aside.
Step 4
Add soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Whisk cornstarch slurry together and add it to the beef while stirring constantly. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens into a sauce, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Prepare edamame according to package instructions. Prepare lattice fries according to package instructions.
Step 6
For service; portion 1/2 cup fries, portion 1.5 oz. of beef on top of fries using a #24 disher, top with 1/4 cup edamame and 1/2 oz. cheddar cheese using a 1 oz. spoodle. Garnish with sliced scallions if desired.
