What do meat lovers want for a late-night snack? Answer: This sandwich. With tender strips of seasoned beef, caramelized onions, melted provolone, tomato, creamy avocado and a punchy, bright chimichurri sauce. So good.
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Thaw avocado according to package instructions.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 3
Prepare caramelized onions according to package instructions.
Step 4
Season the beef and grill over high heat to desired level of doneness. Allow beef to rest after grilling. Slice thinly, and hold for service.
Step 5
For each sandwich, open a baguette roll and layer with 3 slices of provolone cheese. Warm in a 350°F until cheese begins to melt. Remove from oven and add 3 oz. sliced beef. Top with 2 oz. caramelized onions, 3 slices of tomato and 3-4 slices of avocado. Serve with 2 fl. oz. of chimichurri sauce for dipping.
